Notifications and email

Pulse keeps you informed in two places: a bell inside the app, and email from the Pulse office. Both cover the same events, so you should not miss anything by relying on one of them.

  1. Tap the bell in the app header. The badge count shows what you have not read yet.
  2. Open a notification to read it and clear the badge for that item.
  3. Follow the link inside it when there is one. Notifications that carry an action, such as a certificate that is ready or a registration that was approved, point straight at the right page.

Notifications cover announcements from the organiser, registration confirmations, approvals and rejections, cancellations and postponements, event reminders, questionnaires that are open, and certificates that are ready to download.

Pulse sends email when you create an account, when a registration is confirmed, when payment details are needed, and when a certificate is issued. Email goes to the address on your account, which is also the address your tickets are linked to.

If you signed up with Google, that Google address is the one Pulse uses. If you changed your address and stopped receiving mail, update it in Settings, then check the new inbox.

  1. Check the spam or promotions folder. Messages from an event platform are often filed there on the first send.
  2. Search for Pulse rather than scrolling, since mail from the office may come from a shared address.
  3. Confirm the address on your account under Settings. A typo here is the most common cause.
  4. Ask the organiser to check if the message was a certificate or an approval. They can see delivery on their side.
